Privacy Policy

Hotties USA LLC, New York, NY, runs Hottie Academy and decides how the information described here is used. Questions about it go to hello@hottieacademy.com.

We collect the following.

• Account details. Your name and the email address you bought with. You sign in with a one-time code sent to that email, so we never hold a password for the Academy.
• Learning progress. Which lessons you have finished, your quiz and exam results, your plan, your exam attempts, and the activation key sent with your purchase.
• Order details. What you bought, when, the amount, and the email on the receipt. Card and bank details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Messages to us. What you write when you contact support, and our replies.
• Studio shoot details. If your plan includes a shoot, the scheduling details you give us and the photos taken in your session.
• Free-module sign-up. If you take the free module, the name, email address and phone number you give on the sign-up form, whether you asked for texts, and the campaign tags on the link you arrived from. You do not need an account for this.
• Basic technical data. Things your browser sends automatically, such as device type, browser, pages requested and approximate location from your IP address, used to keep the site working and secure.

We use your information to:

• create and run your account, show your progress and let you pick up where you left off
• take payment, deliver what you bought and send receipts
• open the free module for you and send you emails about it and the program, and texts about shoot dates and open calls if you asked for them
• issue and check the activation key sent with your purchase
• schedule and run studio shoots
• answer your questions and send service messages, such as sign-in codes and exam notices
• keep the site safe, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet our legal duties
• understand in broad terms how the site is used so we can improve it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to show you third-party advertising.

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s local storage to remember small settings, such as whether the coach voice is on and your answers during an exam in progress. Your progress itself is saved to your account, not the device. This is needed for the site to work. If you clear it you will be signed out, and you can sign in again with your email.

If you sign up for the free module, a cookie remembers that on this browser for a year, so the free lessons open without the form again. It holds a reference number only, not your details.

Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout pages to process payments and prevent fraud. We do not use advertising cookies.

We share information only with people who help us run the Academy, and only as much as they need:

• Stripe, which processes payments
• hosting, database and email providers that store data and send messages for us
• the photographer and studio, for shoot sessions you book
• professional advisers, and authorities when the law requires it
• a buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganised, under the same protections

If you take your activation key into the Hotties app, the app has its own privacy policy that applies to what you do there.

We keep account and progress information while your account is open and for a reasonable time afterwards so you can come back. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or give you a copy. Email hello@hottieacademy.com from the address on your account. We will verify it is you and reply within 45 days. Depending on where you live, such as New York or California, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we will honour them.

You can opt out of non-essential email at any time with the link in the message, and stop texts by replying STOP to any of them. Service emails about your account and orders will continue.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limited access. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your email account secure (your sign-in codes go there) and keep your activation key to yourself.

Hottie Academy is for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, tell us at hello@hottieacademy.com and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
